– Inspire is a proven Neurostimulation solution for moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. There is a significant body of clinical evidence with over 70 studies conducted, more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and to date almost 50,000 patients have been successfully treated. It consists of 3 implanted components:

i. The neurostimulator which houses the electronics and battery. It has a battery life of approximately 11 years and will provide warnings when a replacement is required.

ii. The sensing lead which detects each breath.

iii. The Stimulation Lead which delivers mild electrical stimulation to the Hypoglossal Nerve.

The patient is also provided with a remote control to activate the device each evening before sleep and deactivate every morning. It can also be paused during the night if necessary. Finally, clinicians are provided with a programmer used for activation, adherence monitoring and device setting amendments.
