"WOW! WHAT A SHOW" A delegate shares their reaction upon entering the Respiratory Show
)
On the 9th and 10th of October, over a thousand visitors traveled to the NEC to attend the inaugural of The Respiratory Show and what an amazing launch it was. The Respiratory Show offered a jammed-packed conference exceptionable hands-on sessions and expert speakers.
“I cannot believe the experience whilst I was at The Respiratory Show, the sessions were amazing, the speakers were relatable and I felt like nothing was going over my head in the sessions as they broke down their topic into a way I could understand” one of the delegates said. The Respiratory Show 2019 at the beginning of October delivered the latest in the respiratory sector through hands-on training, 100+ hours of content and 1140+ delegates to network with.
The launch event offered two full days of hands-on sessions which went down well with all of the delegates. The hands-on sessions received over 800 attendees across all of 13 sessions, with our most attended session being Spirometry Interpretation: A Masterclass, Inhaler Technique Sessions and Chest clearance and cough management: a physio approach. The Respiratory Show will be bringing back the hands-on sessions, making it more interactive, more engaging and bigger for our delegates in 2021.
Group Show Manager, Ian Reynolds explained: “The Respiratory Show was launched to support NHS professionals to deliver the Long Term Plan. The launch event recog¬nises the importance of this therapy area and wishes to offer it the prominence it deserves. For many years respiratory has been a key clinical area and we wanted to ensure the inaugural of the show.”
2019 Highlights
The Respiratory Shows’ education partners included the likes of BTS, ARNS, ILD-INN, and Education for Health, their support and help have been greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with them for years to come. Our Launch Partners offered an amazing experience throughout the show too. For instance, a trip to the British Lung Foundation stand offered delegates the opportunity to receive a free power-bank to stay fully charged up throughout the day which was received extremely well with the audience.
There were also over 50 exhibitors covering everything respiratory patients needed. From Allergy, Asthma, Bron¬chiectasis, Cough, Cystic Fibrosis,
Lung Disease, Lung Cancer, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Sleep & Ventilation, Pleural / Thoracoscopy, Tuberculosis, and Thoracic Surgery. There was a wide range of exhibitors to fill everyone’s time across both days of the event.
Senior Marketing Manager, Bogdan Mihalache mentioned: “We hope that every delegate, speaker, exhibitor and sponsor attending the Respiratory Show made the most of this excellent opportunity to network, share problems with possible resolutions and gain clarity on complex solutions. We hope everyone went away with great ideas to implement into their work-to-work organisation”.
It wasn’t just our delegates that were happy with the show, our exhibitors had an amazing time too. Our launch partner, Orion Pharma, later mentioned: “Our partnership with The Respiratory Show meant that we were able to work closely with the team to deliver a better show on both ends and we have not been disappointed.".
“The interactive we had received has been unbelievable. Our aim was the exposure to our products, our services and I can say that aim has met four-folds. It has been extremely busy. We came here to meet with GPs and we have seen quite a few of them. We have had a lot of interest and we have received a good number of signups to our mailing list. We took forever to working with them all in the coming months.”
Delegates to the conference also had the benefit to access the wider Best Practice and Best Practice in Nursing, which gave the delegates that little bit extra whilst visiting our conference.”. The Respiratory Theatre 1 and 2 wasn’t the only source of incredible seminars. The hands-on sessions were extremely popular with every session being jam-packed with delegates which left the delegates wanting more.
The Respiratory Show 2019 programme was indeed a carnival of inspiration, education, and fun, making it an unmissable date in the calendar of the respiratory sector and we can’t wait to see what the organisers have planned for the next edition.
