Professor Mansur been a consultant physician at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital since 2002, leading the severe asthma service and oversaw the development of the Birmingham Regional Severe Asthma Service (BRSAS) which is currently one of the largest severe asthma network in UK. He also works closed with primary care physicians to improve asthma management in the community through the development the respiratory community diagnostic hubs. Professor Mansur is part of the Birmingham Allergy, Asthma and Immunology centre recognised as centre of excellence by the World Allergy Organisation. He has also been spearheading an active clinical and translation research program with main focus on asthma and airways diseases and has had co-authored more than 100 peer reviewed articles.
