Having worked for over 20 years as a respiratory nurse initially setting up and running a COPD service with the advent of the GP contract in 2004, Chris is more than qualified to deliver the new format of respiratory care in the form of a diagnostic hub. She believes every person has a right to the correct diagnosis and treatment and the current misdiagnosis must be addressed by appropriate training and education. Her most recent project has been the writing, creating and production of four online spirometry eLearning courses for Rotherham Respiratory. The opportunity to work back in primary care is her ‘swan song’ to create a diagnostic hub thus enabling her to put all her years of experience into practice to transform respiratory care for this group of patients within an innovative Primary Care Network.
