Keir qualified from Guys & St Thomas' and has been an NHS R&D Director, NIHR Speciality Lead and is the Clinical Respiratory Lead for 4 hospitals and community services covering 400,000 people in Hywel Dda University Health Board, in rural West Wales. He has published 3 text books, multiple papers (H-index 39) and has been lead or co-applicant in grants worth over £25M. He is Medical Director of Respiratory Innovation Wales and Clinical Lead for the Tritech Institute. His interests are COPD, respiratory failure and smoking cessation.
