Laura is an experienced clinical nurse specialist for children & young people with asthma. Her background before this was urgent & emergency paediatrics. Laura has worked for some years in NE London, one of the most diverse and deprived areas in the UK. Laura specialises in change management in asthma, and her last few clinical roles have been establishing new services. Laura is currently one of the NHSE pilot practitioners working to embed the asthma bundle, and minimise the impact of inequality. Laura's passion lies in empowering children/young people (and their grown-ups) to effectively self-manage and engaging hard-to-reach families. Laura is also a children's author, having written a book for bereaved children. The two worlds will soon collide when she goes to press with her series of therapeutic stories for children with asthma!
