The Musical Breath
Singing for Lung Health began in 2007 at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London as the Singing for Breathing project. Phoene Cave was the music therapist employed by rh&h Arts as the singing facilitator to deliver sessions to inpatients and outpatients, working with individuals with with cystic fibrosis and also groups of people with COPD and ILD.
In 2015-2019 she created a programme for the British Lung Foundation, training 80 participants and built a team for The Musical Breath of respiratory physios, vocal coaches and movement specialists to train another 220 facilitators worldwide.
